As Email subscriber T states:
“It’s mainly messed up because it’s so much opportunity out here. You never know a shot until you take it.”
Like the opportunity to discover how to earn more moolah in business… or the opportunity to live a better life… or an opportunity to fix what is currently screwed up about your life… or an opportunity to do something differing with your life… quit your job, start an online bidniz, travel the world, fix your community, get your loved ones out of debt, buy them a new house, fix up their house, take them on vacations, spend more time with family and friends, and bunch of other things that people repeatedly pass on.
Most folks live their lives doing the absolute minimum while expecting to get maximum results?
How on the H eeee double hockey sticks is that supposed to work?
Minimum effort but max results?
Not how that works.
You can’t go the gym, one day a week, eat only one good meal a week and expect to get in the best shape of your life… you’ll still be the miserable, hard of breathing after walking up stairs, often talked about when in pictures with other “skinny” folks, need the hand holding from other ummm obese folks about how the world ain’t far to those who are overweight person that you are, had you not started.
Am I calling you overweight?
No, I have never seen you – so I can’t honestly say that.
If you were overweight and constantly complained about how your joints bother you, or how you hate walking up stairs because you are out of breath, and other things that mostly accompany those who are overweight..
I’ll be the first person to tell you that you are overweight and that you need to do something about it, period.
And if you are reading this email thinking something like, I’m sure Isaiah ain’t like this in real life… he’s probably such a sweetheart and wouldn’t dare to say that to anyones face… hate to be the guy to tell you that you are wrong.
I’m known for having no – how does my own mother put it – having no tact.
I saw what I want, to who I want, with complete disregard of how it makes the person feel.
It is just my personality, after all.
A quick side bar…
My mother use to come visit me a lot, back when I first moved into where I’m currently living.
She would tell me about her recent doctor visit, and complain about how the meds ain’t working, blah blah blah.
To which my response one day one something like…
“You know mom, you’ll probably feel a lot better if you stopped going to the doctor to take some bullshyt pill and instead took better care of yourself and changed up the food you are eating… it isn’t your doctors job to take care of your body, but your own. Stop complaining to me about what the doctor gives you and go eat a real damn meal – throw away the junk food, drink more water, eat more nutrient dense foods – then we’ll talk”
In less than 12 months, my mother went from close to 300lbs down to 180lbs.
Oh and her doctor?
Told her those lovely words that every patient should want to hear.
“I don’t know what you are doing, but whatever it is, keep doing it”
Did you pass on the opportunity to lose some much needed weight?
Yep, she did.
Until you she heard some pretty interesting words from her son, saying otherwise.
